From Canada, senior Jihadis plot an explosives/chemical mortar attack on Yankee Stadium.

A disaffected Muslim ex-US soldier and an imported Hezbollah operative set up in the south Bronx, then contrive to steal a mortar and ammunition from a US Army base.

By pure accident, a small US Army Intel "monitoring" team stumbles onto what it fears might be something horrendous, but its ability to react is hampered by ambiguous regulations.

Precluded from involving the FBI, an exasperated CPT Vic Paisley and 1LT Rita Patel finally decide to take matters into their own hands...

Forget “legal” -- will they succeed in preventing the carnage?

They've gone rogue... and time just ran out....

“Take me out to the Ji-had…!”

It was just a matter of time…

 …and then time ran out.

Praise for THE BRONX BOMBING:

THE BRONX BOMBING is a supercharged terror-thriller that captures the current political dystopia. P.N. “A'right – so what's the gig?”

“Sorry?”

“The gig – the job – the... mission...”

“Ah, well, you see, this I cannot divulge unless you have first given me your full commitment.”

“What, like a blank check? Kinda a big ask, don't ya think?”

“Perhaps. But it's necessary. I cannot divulge the mission in advance, and then have you decline – ” he smiled, leaned back, and put out his hands expansively, “ – I mean, come on, this is basic security – 1.01, as I believe they call it.... No, rather, I must know, beforehand, that you agree to carry out the mission, no matter what I reveal it to be. That you will follow my instructions, without question or demurral. You must affirm and confirm this to me now, before Allah.”

Selim paused, for effect. But only briefly, because he didn't want Stokes to respond, just yet,

“If not, we leave as friends and brothers, and nothing is lost, Allah karim – our struggles will continue separately, that is all...”

“A'right, a'right, I get that. I get that. But jess tell me this – I take it this mission involve killin'?”

“Yes.”

“One person, or more than one? Lots?”

“That is certainly the idea. Hundreds certainly – perhaps, depending...” Selim almost said “depending on how the wind blows” but held back and said instead “...depending on... circumstances, perhaps even thousands.”

“Does it involve killin' any brothers? I mean black brothers?”

Selim hesitated, choosing his words. “Certainly your black brothers are not the targets. But some may be among the collateral damage – in fact, if you are successful, a few almost inevitably will be. But again, they are not the targets -- while the vastly more numerous whites are. Understand, we are dealing with infidels here – the target is an infidel target.”

Stokes considered some more. Harder this time.

Sir. Major. If I may – Here’s the situation as I see it: One, we got what looks to us like a 90% sure-thing, imminent terrorist attack on our hands. But two, there’s nothing that would hold up in court – no smoking gun, not even close. And three, we can't even farm it out to the NSA or the FBI for them to eventually FISC 'cause the incriminating stuff we've picked up is from sources we weren’t supposed to listen to in the first place. So we’re stuck. But I’m thinking, sir, that we’ve gotta move the needle on this sucker or we might well find ourselves in a world of hurt, and probably soon.”
